Done, I also picked up 'Question of Balance' on SACD while I was there. These are all the third copies of these Vinyl, CD, and now SACD. I should be listening to these next Sunday.

Burke,
Seventh Sojourn on SACD in 5.1 is another winner.

WB, you got me in the mood-this AM its the 5.1 SACD of Moody Blues-The Lost Chord. Legend of a mind sounds spookily real.
Got the Disc in the mail yesterday, Popped it in this morning to give it a listen.
Imagine my surprise when I come to find out it's just 2 channel. Did some research on the web, and come to find out there is no 5.1 in the SACD format.
All the Moodies albums were originally mixed in quadrophonic except ISOTLC.
That is why there is no 5.1 mix of this disc. All the 5.1 mixes of their other albums were made from these quadrophonic recordings.

That being said I still like the mix much better than the original, I don't have the MoFi copy to compare it to.

The bonus disc also has a couple of unique tracks, but mostly it's just small variations on the originals.

Wow! I did not realize this was stereo only. I had not listened on my 5.1 system, only in the "big rig".

The diva series is quite nice for famous female jazz artists. I love Brazilian jazz and any thing from a Gilberto is great. Roy Hargrove's "Crisol" Habana is unique and enjoyable.

This morning my wife hands me a UPS package that had been sitting outside for two days and guess what's inside? The first 5 installments of the Genesis catalog reissue in full 5.1 glory on SACD high-rez discs.

Just finished listening to Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering. Man what an emotional and aural pleasure this has been.

If you are a fan, run don't walk to your computer to order these.

A full thread is posted in the Rock section of the recommended recordings forum. Join me for further discusion over there.

Music arrived yesterday. Never had any music by Genesis only Phil. They are wonderful. My wife has had them on in the office all day.

My brother-in-law and business partner has a Genesis addiction. He talked one of our suppliers into getting us tickets to shows in Cleveland and Detroit on connective nights in September. We had all planned on a visit to see family in Detroit anyway so this will make it that much better.

Spent afternoon listening to l music from The Mystic Moods Orchestra "One Stormy Night" and "Another Stormy Night (MoFI)" (I seem to have misplaced my copy of Stormy Weekend) at The Sybaris Suites an anniversary present. (32)

Played the lead guitar part for a Kutlass song at church today. One of the first times I actually played a lead better for the service than for practice before! Good thing too, I had chewed it up pretty good in practice! :D

Listening to some Stevie Wonder from the '70's on the MBL's right now!

No music today, as I am in Austin, TX and my system is home in Alexandria, VA. Hope to listen to some tunes tomorrow at James' home tomorrow. I bet his new MBL speakers sound incredible! - Steve

I look forward to seeing you soon Steve! I will be interested in your observations on the MBL's since my hearing is still not back and I can't really tell anything about them. At least they should be a close match of the Prodigy w/o being hooked up to the EXACT same system, so we ought to be able to make some comparisons and I do know what my Prodigy sound like... Better gear will help the MBL's in the future and I can already tell they don't have the bass response of the Prodigy, the highs do seem mightly clear as best I can tell and the staging seems VERY GOOD too! Looking forward to your thoughts!

I heard this playing in a little music shop while I was wandering the streets of Venice on Thursday. Just had to get it when I got back to the states so I picked it up last night. It's really great Sunday morning music, both relaxing and invigorating. Excellent!

Just installed new panels on the Scenarios and are breaking them in with some music from the Samurai Collection. This CD is filled with Japnese modern music, and It is both relaxing and uplifting. This CD makes the MLs sing.

Those weren't the new panels yesterday were they? How is the sound different from what you were used to with the panels before? Also, did you replace all 4?

Just wondering what the differences are between a well broken in panel and a new fresh set.
