Hello everyone. I'm new here. Im a longtime music and audio gear nerd.
I just jumped into the deep end of the pool with my first pair of ML electrostatic speakers. ReQuest's
They are basket cases. One is missing it's rear panel and everything that would go with it. That's what brings me here........nice to meet you all

If the intact speaker plays OK, it would be advantageous to swap out the panels to make sure that both panels play, before you sink a bunch of time and money into repairs.

Jazzman has very good advice. Make sure those panels sing before pulling out the wallet
I owned ReQuests for about 8 years and the panels were and played fine. The person who bought them from me was local so I got to hear them with panels approaching 10 years old and they still sounded great so hopefully good news for you.

I should have said it in my post. I did swap the power supply and crossover between the 2 and they both play with no noticable issues
