    Brexit

Hi Rich, the old white generation outside London voted out, so you can guess :) I am young brown and inside London - as for the move, we don't know. It is the uncertainty of what will happen rather than in or out that's going to cause the damage. We don't know how long will the "advisory" vote...

    MartinLogan Renaissance at AXPONA 2016

I did listen to the Renaissance and Neolith, but that week had other things http://www.whatsbestforum.com/showthread.php?20539-What-a-week-concertgebouw-Mahler-Rattle-koda-neolith-apogee-grands!&p=390547&viewfull=1#post390547

That's because you can't :). Need a few more years...

    What are your reference recordings?

I first gauge vocal performance using Bach cantata - chorals, solo baritone, soprano, and duet. The Cecilia Bartoli vocals from her Vivaldi album. Then, I add second movement of Scheherazade from reference recordings (the Living Stereo reiner is also fine and better musically - I use this LP...

    Impact of Equipment Rack

Put wooden boards on the floor and shun mooks on them, and equipment on top of that. Wife happy, as it is low, no effect to soundstage, and overall sound gets better

    Great disc for auditioning

Yes, very. Otherwise I would have put up a Diana Krall or Pink Floyd. To clarify, I posted it because it is a good classical music where you get baritone, orchestral dynamics, and choral demos that you can enjoy and test with, all one after another, without having to swap a disc.

    Great disc for auditioning

Actually I don't use it. I just found that link posted by another guy who replied to my thread on another forum

    High WAF Acoustic Panels

No, it's a company called Music tools. All you need is a wooden stand done to your shape and color specs, then put the mooks on. Other stands don't matter

    Atmos Speakers for 7.1.4

I have heard a 7 speaker atmos, small set up with basic b&w and Pioneer. And a few high end auros. Was impressed by all. What stood out in auro 3d was the voice of God channel, which is directly overhead. When activated it takes the system to another level, without it the system sounds much...

    Great disc for auditioning

This is a great disc for testing gear as the first track is nice baritone vocals, the second is an overture that is pretty dynamic, and the third is a choral. Easy to tell the differences on A/B on the first three tracks itself, no need to swap and change.

Ypsilon Aelius vs Luxa Bridged mono

This was my third time demoing the Aelius, which are 200w hybrids with C3g valve. I was looking at a hybrid for tough to drive planars. I have demoed the Aeilus previously with a Giya G1 and Ypsilon pre, then the Ypsilon combo with a Soundlabs Ultimate, and on Saturday was able to compare the...

    High WAF Acoustic Panels

Saturday I was in Paris, at the home of an audiophile named Joel, who is also a 6 moons reviewer and has been through Vicoustic, GIK, and various other stuff. His system is Vivid Giya G1 and we were able to A/B the Ypsilon Aelius hybrids with Luxman M800 bridged on those speakers (more on that...
