Hi Dave,

no problems with bass and the TT, but I must admit mostly I listen to musik via Mac mini and D100.

Nice system.
I've got to ask - which Mac amps get the most use - the MC252 or the pair of MC275s?
Also - have you had any issues with high frequency roll-off with the MC275s?

At the moment the pair MC275s. I bouth the second MC275 one week ago from a friend. Luckily the second MC275 has the same age and consecutive serialnumbers. With the "old" setup ( MC275 in stereo ) I mostly listen to the MC252. But now,in the mono configuration, it sounds much better. :music: No issues with highs. I use the 8 ohm tabs ( 16 ohm in bridged mode ) and the highs are wonderful. The spatial impression also improved.

The MC275 amps are almost too beautiful to behold.

I've looked at this setup a few times and love it. I've been eye balling the Montis for a while now. I just need to get these puppies restored.

Again an upgrade. I replaced the Montis and Balanced Force 210 with a Summit X in high gloss cherry.
In my room the bass performance and the spatial resolution is now much better. Attached some pictures.

Looks beautiful !

Sadly I think it looks better than the Renaissance which doesn't seem fair.

Wow think I need to visit. I wanted to hear a Montis/Summit with the subs and a TT

Beautiful system and set-up.

Two questions:
1. What stand do you have your main equipment sitting on?
2. How do you like Summit X compared to the Montis? I am considering upgrade and am debating those two ML's.

Thanks

Hi Neil,

stands are from Spectral (HE1203).
I came from Ethos, switched to Montis, paired the Montis with different subs to increase bass. But neither the Descent I nor the Balanced Force 210 worked well together with the Montis in my room. So I decided to test the Summit X. The bass from the Summit X is much better. It's better integrated. Also the mids and highs are better (the panels should be the same, but I think the lower crossover frequency makes the difference ). But I think it depends on your room. In my room the Summit works perfect.
