What will the new CLX do that the Summit does not?

I've been told that the CLX will retail for $20K!! YIKES!

Maybe I'll hang on to my reQuests... unless the wonderful folks at ML would cut me some sort of deal! (hint hint)

:D

I have a great source and he isn't telling me this. Several months ago, I heard $10k range.

Or maybe it's $20,000 to everybody else, but only $10,000 to MLC forum members! :rocker:

How has 60' room!

Lots of speculation on all our parts ! Time will tell. I think the CLX will appeal to some but not many ! Not at $20K + with a needed sub. I can get many a sub sat system for far less .......
:cool:I have lived with two SUBs for years, The Subs are for the Room not the Speakers! I have Fullrang Soundlabs, An Acoustat but my is not right so the Subs make my life much ezer, To get 30hz in the room the room wood be 60'
good luck.
thanks

Panel and dipole speakers have a bass alignment that doesn't present it self to the best bass as to the midrange and treble. why do you think we toe our speakers to get that panel mid bass to blend with the lower frequencies. Corner loading does give the most emphasis on the lower regions. I said Emphasis, not best bass.;) That being said its easy to use a sub to meld into a system to cover up the room nodes. I can see this being exactly the same with the CLX as with the CLS. I am not against SUBS. fact I love um . If they are blended correctly. Stereo subs is the only way in my book also.

I am now hearing this too. I am also hearing of the possibility of a European debut.

Actually, 1/2 the wavelength is what you need, so roughly 30', not 60'. And it can be any dimension, so if you have 30' from an upper corner to the diagonally opposite lower corner, that'll do it.

I've never though about taking the diagonal into account.

Interesting!

the math give me 41.8' what is the half wave for the diagonal?

If you're asking what freqency has a half wavelength of 42', you divide 1100 ft/sec (speed of sound at sea level) by 84' (full wavelength) = 13Hz (subsonic!)

Well aT your seat you are getting 30hz

you must live in that world i an:cool: most dont no about, an not sure in the home, you can get a real 40hz maybe at 6db down. thanks

Even if the room is big enough, you won't hear low frequencies that your equipment can't produce:duh:
