Hi all,
I have a pair of ML 60xti in my 19 x 14 living room which are connected to an Arcam SA 30. I use the system exclusively for music listening. Can anyone recommend a good subwoofer for this setup? Much appreciated.. Roy

Hello Roy. You didn't mention what your budget is for a sub, so I'll offer a couple of suggestions: I've had an SVS SB-3000 (13" woofer in a sealed cabinet) and it works well with my ESL-X speakers in a similar sized room. The SVS app is a joy to use for controlling sub volume, crossover frequency and such on the fly right from the couch. I can't imagine have a subwoofer without it. A friend has two SVS-2000's he uses with his Klipsch RP-8060 tower speakers. If you have the budget and the room for two subs I highly recommend it. I've heard this setup and the bass is clean and deep. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. I forgot to mention that this needs to be a wireless setup for the sub. I did contact SVS and they do have a wireless kit. What do you think (or know) about the new (2024) ML Abyss and Dynamo? Those have built in wireless.

I have not had any experience with those subwoofers, other than reading reviews about them. I can only say the SVS offer a great value for their cost. SVS operates on very thin profit margins, so you get a lot for the money. With the 3000 series you get an 800 watt amp and a 13" driver that goes WAY deep. However I see that the M-L DYNAMO series does offer ANTHEM ROOM CORRECTION which is a BIG plus. Tough call !

I use a Power Sound Audio 21 inch sub as one of my subs. I'm very impressed with the value of the brand. I use a ML wireless kit with my ML bf 210. That wireless kit works pretty good.

I can not force myself to recommend any ugly black cube into this beautiful room.
Go for something unobtrusive - ML Abyss, SVS micro 3000, KEF.

Big part of end result will be, how you will integrate sub with your mains - my experience with ML subs has been very good - app alllows for all the flexibility you need - phase, order of the slope for LPF, Room correction. Thing to have in mind - wireless adds another delay to sub, so without AV processor/receiver functionality it will another topic to consider for integration.

There is also another option - you might look inor something like this and try to hide the sub completely-
