Don't have much time this morning. Gotta go help the daughter close her pool. Just enough time to sneak in a little Tom Waits- Heart of Saturday Night. Love that one ! D.R.

Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain

Just got home last night, put the above CD in, Sparklehorse, this morning. Nice.

Bruce ****burn "Dancing in the Dragons Jaw"

This was a old CD that I pulled out and man it has a decent soundstage ! With Great bass.

OK I guess the editor will not let me spell it like it is. So its pronounced Bruce Coburn ! But spelled the other way !

I started off with Ian Matthews, "Valley Hi" because of the prior discussion of the song, "These Days". I'm glad I did, as this is a very nice album and I hadn't listened to it in a few years. This is my original Elektra record from 1973.

Then, I was ready for something with a little more oomph, so I picked SRV's "Couldn't Stand The Weather". I have to comment on the quality of sound of this record. I also have an old CD of this album, but with my system and my ears there is just so much more with this vinyl. I'm assuming it's just the mastering on the old CD, they just didn't put as much love into it. The CD is from 1984 and I think the record was issued just a few years ago.

It's been a Throwback Sunday AM, in the early days of CD there was but a handfull of well recorded disc mfg / producers. Sheffield Lab was one of them, today it's been "James Newton Howard & Friends", "Creme de la Creme", and Thelma Houston's "I've got the Music in Me"

Some Fourplay

Just received this new album by Fourplay - Energy

This new multichannel SACD edition is incredible in terms of sonics. Definitely a 'Demo' class disc.

Musically, not that different from prior albums from Fourplay, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Good for three or four tracks at a sitting for me.

theWB,

I was listening to a nice remastered 180 gram vinyl of Tres Hombres last night and the tune I really liked was the slow groovin' "Hot,Blue And Righteous" I'd forgotten all about that song...

Satch

Wow! Talk about great minds think alike, I listened to that album after reading about it on the site the other day, too. No morning music for me today, I drove from Round Rock, TX to Las Cruces, NM today. Luckily, they have a guest computer for me to use!

No Sunday music for me at all this week. Sandy and I did the Race for theCure this morning with 62,000 of our closest friends and then I settled into football mode and did some work.

I'll tune up the ears later this week prior to the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest on Friday!

........... I gave the guy a call and agreed to purchase them. According to the serial #'s the panels are 18 years old, so I figured I would be spending another $900 for panels, But they sound great.

1,715 miles, no speeding tickets, and 26 1/2 hours later I was back home.
Left Saturday morning 2am got back this morning 4:30am.

I had never heard the CLS's, But decided to purchase based on everyones comments.

I'll need CAP's advice on how to refinish, hate the dark oak.

But I love the way they sound.

Congratulations on the new addition.

Do you need me to bring the Sanders mono blocks by so we can drive them properly?

Those look like the ones from the GON from NJ. At least the ARCCI stands give that impression. If SO Congrats and welcom to the CLS club.

Today it was Kaki King playing acoustic guitar. I watched August Rush last night and was blown away by her sound. (She is actually doing the guitar work ) Its a percusive sound in the movie but on her albums its as smooth as it gets. She has a great sound HIGHLY recommended for you acoustic guitar buffs.

I aquired a few from each album to peruse and its fantastic! Great sound on the Logan's

If its true WB try this on the CLS it will blow you away !

Just pm me with your number. Ill call and help ya out. I will be in chicago the 27 28 , might be able to spare some time up .

Holy Chit!!! I just noticed that too. WOW all kinds of new arrivals in the WB household.

Wayne, very curious to get your impressions of the CLS and Summts in the same system. You and Craig must be the only two guys on the planet to have them both. VERY cool. I'll send you a PM with the secret CLS handshake later...
