My little sweet Duettas look a bit dwarfed by those things. I've never heard the "super" Apogee models like Full Range and Grands, but I'd be amazed if contemporary well restored pairs wouldn't give this newcomer at least some grounds for respect. Really quite a lot of respect, that is:D

Hahaha!! awesome!! I love it.... and yes photos are a must with some blurbs about 'bloomy this and bloomy that...and air yadda yada'.... and if they give you any problems... tell them your name is 'Rich'...... ... :rocker:

Based on no curve at the top, slight curve on the left under what I'm guessing is the frame, and it's big booty I'd take a guess that it's a hybrid CLX with some subs built in.

and if they give you any problems... tell them your name is 'Rich'...... ... :rocker:

What are you trying to do? Get him kicked out of the place?

Justin, be smart about it. Tell them your name is Jeff Dorgay and you'll be taking your review samples with you.

I just hope the new ****o wotsit turns up in time. Bought with 13 (unlucky for some) £25 Amazon vouchers plus a bit more, but ordered late Thursday. Should be OK. Maybe:D

Hahaha!! Good one Rich!!

If it is basically a hybrid CLX, then I sure would not spend the coin for it, as I'd just get a used CLX, and do my own mid-bass and bass setup. Already have half of that in-place already.

I'm hoping Rich is right, and it is indeed a new larger (taller + wider) main panel a-la Prodigy or Monolith, as I really like what those can do in the 300 - 1K Hz range. Their dispersion characteristics are much nicer than slimmer panels IMHO.

Anyway, look forward to the official reveal and Justin and Bonzo's reports in a few days.

Not surprising that they used an extract from the soundtrack from "A Space Odyssey" at the end of the teaser. Sounds like it's going to be big!

Wow! It's HUGE! I'm sure it sounds awesome, but looks like "WAF" will be "ZERO." I wonder if it comes with one free hour of prepaid marriage counseling? :D

"statement class"... This thing is MASSIVE!!!

Of course I'll never have the $$ to buy a pair, even if I wanted to... But I'm glad the folks at ML are doing this... It assures us that they are still passionate about ESL development, which we all know is good for all their future products... I'm sure official specs will be coming soon on this bad boy...

The new speaker looks massive. I wonder if the design constituents are going to eventually filter down to the rest of the range...

OMG!!!! This is AWESOME!!.... Thank you Tom for the extra effort.... and a pre- thank you to Justin & Kedar for their insight... pics ... comments etc....

Haha... Where is Peter? There is lots of love here..... :)

Ah! If only they would have had some chimps holding bones and dancing around, that video would have been killer! I like the shape.

Did you get my PMs Tom? Pleez do something about the pic sizes. Pretty please. They really are a bit small at the mo, even the main man Bernard agrees:)
Yeah, **** where you can't see detail is definitely not good.

Interesting. Looks like I was right about it being somewhat of an updated Prodigy design. Can't wait to see the specs. Love the larger panel. Love the panel bracing it incorporates, which the recent models have lacked. Looks like a vertical or close to it panel orientation. I am most curious about the woofer setup. Looks like a new box design with at least one front port. Transmission line maybe? Size and number of woofers and what kind of internal amp? DSP control? So many questions.

Statement Level can mean only one thing: statement level pricing!
