HD-DVD vs Upconverting Players

I think you will enjoy the OPPO 970.

That is a general concensus of everyone who has purchased one. I look forward to it arriving next week.

And like i said before, if you get or have a Video Processor in the mix, you wont have to worry about BR or HD for a while. IMHO that is

Video processor - something else new to me. What do these things run for a nice one, but not extreme?

I went all out and ordered their latest top of the line model the Oppo 981. It upconverts video to 1080p but does not have component video outs. Not bad for $230 however, my TV only has one DVI input and I use that for the cable box output so now I'll have to eventually get an HDMI switcher. This is something I can work around for now. Any recommendations on an HDMI switcher?

Gefen makes great switches.

I had the 4 DVI x 1 DVI and it worked great with switching.
