Joey and Robin - you guys had better be careful. What with all of the news lately about the FBI possibly abusing the Patriot Act you guys might be on a list somewhere for public distribution of all that audio ****!

Robin, I still say that the system at the top of the page is probably only worth about $110K-$120K. Those Pass Alph 2 amps would have to be something special in my book to upstage the Joule Electra's that were in the original photo...

Tim,

I don't know the electronics maybe $120K but the Stradivari Speakers alone are $80K. then you have to factor in the huge software collection ~ LP's and CD/SACD's/Hybird-CD's/DVD-A's/RedBook CD's... $450K - $500K. ;) The guy needs a steel reinforced with vault door to his listening room... :D

The Stradivari are only 50k. I auditioned them in Phoenix and thought the they were beautiful but were not as good as some of the other 50k speakers I heard that day. I thought the MBL 101E and Dali Megalines were both better. Just my opinon.

I have one of those... The room it protects is to small to be a listening room though... :D

You have everything James!!!

I am just like a big kid w/ a decent (though not decent enough) check book dude! LOL!!! That picture, btw, for some reason is in black and white and that room is actually natural linen walls, atrium white trim, the tiles are a nice tan (like other pics of my house) and the door is BEAUTIFUL GLOSS BLACK with GOLD trim (and lettering)... I LOVE THAT ROOM! Has all my loading supplies, security system, jewelry not being worn, and things that go bang...etc in it. You should have seen the house when it was just a slab and that "pill box". People would walk or drive by and freak out... Once the framing was up it was not noticable though. ;)

Cool Electronics on This Rack...

 A interesting combination of high-end electronic here... :D

MMM, I always was impressed to see a Diamond Audio Technology subwoofer driver in the back of those Von Schweikerts. I have used their stuff in my car for quite a while now.

You would like the amplifiers of theirs I have Robin ;) I'll take a photo for you sometime.

Your Killing Me... James

I have one of those... The room it protects is to small to be a listening room though... :D

Diamonds,

I would have thought they would have bested to MBL 101E's or the Dali Megalines from the reviews I have read on the Internet.
Oh Well, it just goes to show that auditoning is extremely necessary... ;)

Does MMM stand for anything? An Acronem for some company name?
I would like to see their amplifiers as well, whenever you get the chance. :D

Haha, no Robin...I guess Hmmm would have been a better choice :p

The cables only remind me of Nordost stuff...but I know there are others out there with ribbon-type cables.

Those speaker cables on the VSAs - If I'm not mistaken they are Verbatim cables that were co-developed by Albert Von Schweikert and Paul Garner. Verbatim Speaker Cables - if that's what these are - are made of zero crystal copper foil hand inserted into jackets. The copper foil is said to be the same foil used for the transformer windings of US Navy radar arrays.

I have some wicked cool stuff in there, but no MBL gear...

The walls and ceiling are 1' thick double steel rebar reinforced and the door weighs in at 1300# plus the frame which is more than 200# more! I know it is CRAZY! Bring on your F5 tornado...this bad boy can handle it!

Cool Beans...

James,

too bad their are no more MBL's in your safe... :D

:D It is funny you should mention a safe place to go during a Twister, because the film ~ "Twister" is one of my fav's. I guess having a root cellar is not very practical anymore ~ to go during a twister. ;) Do you have food / H2O, cots and such for a :eek1: Twister emergency...?
