Welcome to the club, George ! You are now another ML member having a big advantage over Joey... I wonder how long will that last :D

Truth is, no add-on I've done to my system improved the sound so dramatically and in such multiple ways as the Benchmark did.

Hahahah!!!

You guys better watch your rear-view mirrors, because I'm coming up real fast from the rear!

I'm looking at several items at the moment:
1. Outboard DAC, not sure Benchmark vs PS Audio Digital III vs Tube based vs something else DAC thingy
2. PS Audio Powerplant premiere or a used PowerPlant PS1000
3. Tube rolling the Cary SLP-98 preamp
4. Getting my audio rack in order

You guys may have me beat at the moment, but I'm speeding, baby!!:guitar:

Joey, Joey... there is one important component that you really need to catch up with, and I have the impression that it is not for tomorrow... THE ROOM

Joey,

You should really consider the Richard Gray Product or the Shunyata conditioners. Just my opinion.

Joey, as fond as I am with the benchmark DAC, I must underline the fact that it has NO usb input. The PS Audio does have it...and you can test it for 30 days then return it if not satisfied. A no-brainer.

I have heard good things about the Scott Nixon tube dacs. They have a USB version. I you didn't like it, they seem to sell like hot cakes on Audiogon.
