VERY Nice! Would love to here your comments regarding your Bricasti and Aurender setup.

Seems like you go all out for top-level gear.
Lens44. Yes I love my setup. I know lot have moved on to Roon but I stayed with Aurender. The new W20SE is a significant update over the W20 that is fir sure.
On the Bricasti side this is very good product and under appreciated in my opinion. Made in the US. You can get a demo unit if interested. The M1 DAC is a great place to start.

I know this was all vertical cut. You can see the center section is run opposite the top and bottom.

He purchased it at Lowes. I believe it was Sparrow Peak brand. A 25" x 72" x 1 3/4" section was about $250. It was very well made and the packing was much better than I would have expected. Wrapped in plastic. wrapped in styrofoam and heavy cardboard.

When you cut it and before sanding or rounding corners it will give you nasty slivers.

Replaced the MDF shelves on my Salamander rack with 1/2 inch bamboo plywood which are stained black to match rest of rack. Could not find local vendor in CT so wound up ordering a 4' x 8' sheet from CA and having it drop shipped to friend's woodworking shop for cutting to size. Definite sonic improvement over original MDF.
IKEA used to sell bamboo cutting boards which could be used directly under (smaller) components.

I was late to the room treatment party but it makes a HUGE difference. What you don't see is all that I have on the back wall. Give it a try you will not be disappointed. The other thing is its really not that expensive either.

I agree with treatments being necessary for our speakers. Where to put treatment is dependent on the room, expectations of the listener, and to some extent, the decor wishes of the occupants.

Wondering if there are a couple of recommended sources for how to do this smartly, and the different types of products, geared towards ML enthusiasts. I would like to do this, but really have no idea regarding where to begin. Appreciate any detailed advice.

I started with using sofa cushions, bed comforters and pillows ("Those aren't pillows!!" (Steve Martin: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles)).

I would use chairs and such to situate the cushions to get into certain locations. In other words, whatever I could use that was free I would try first. This led me to make some absorber panels using 1/4" Luan plywood (cheap) and 3-1/2" thick x 15x47 Roxul mineral wool, and cheap fabric. I made these as temporary panels, but they worked so well for first/second reflections that I continued to use them for years, and last week I lent them to a friend.

All of this is to say that unless we experiment, we won't know what will make a difference.

Amongst my earliest attempts at using cushions was to simply place them standing up against the back of the stat panel to see what would change. It pretty much completely cancelled the rear wave from the stat panel, kind of the same that would happen if placing absorbers on the front wall behind the speakers.

Have just completed a major update to room and components.
Room removed the corner fireplace, laid in a full room of bamboo flooring then area rug. Components added a Bricasti M20 preamp and replaced the Aurender W20SE with the two box N30SA with its very nice color screen.

Cool setup. Thanks for sharing.

Also having Stirling Trayle here to set my speakers last week of February. He will spend a couple of days fine tuning first the components then speaker position.

Will be replacing the panel between the speakers with the road picture which reminds me of western Ireland the other on the right first reflection point. Going the Irish route this refresh of the room
