Emma Kirby actually sings on only two tracks on this disc. It is a collection of religious solos and responsorial songs by a number of sopranos and tenors. The voices are very pure-sounding in a well-recorded church acoustic (I have the LP, which was distributed by Linn Selekt Records).I'm not familiar with her work, or this particular piece "A feather on the breath of God". Could you enlighten? The title sounds intriguing.

Definitely an album worth getting.
Anyone here also like Gregorian Chant?
I do not like Gregorian Chant done by monks alone; I like a mix of male and female voices. The best I have heard so far is by the monks and nuns of the monastery of Bec-Hellouin in France; I have an LP that does not come up as available on CD on Amazon. In case you do not speak French, "monks" are "moines", and nuns are "moniales" (when reading the list of performers).I will look into picking-up this recording. Thanks for the description. As for Gregorian Chant, I think I had enough in my music history courses in college. I must admit I did not enjoy it much then, but perhaps I would now. Any recommendations from anyone?

Melody Gardot... Worrisome Heart
A superb new vocalist/pianist/guitarist along the likes of Norah Jones and Diana Krall, with a bit of Madeleine Peyroux thrown in!

Ok, I'll play follow the Leader ! thanks Allen, Wayne !
I bought both of Diana Krall's last two CDs and gave them both away. I just don't enjoy the music as much as her previous CDs, all of which I have and really enjoy (except for her version of "Besame Mucho").Right now I've got Diana Krall's most recent effort "From This Moment On" juicin' the place up thanks to a very good Classic pressing.

I recommend all of her CDs, except for "From This Moment On" and "Girl in the Other Room". Sorry, guess I'm repeating myself. So what"s with "From This Moment On" I don't have that one. I just picked-up one of her first CD's and man I love it. It has the version of Besame Mucho and I'm kind'a with you on that one. But the rest of the recording...........WOW!
