Based on input, the letters will be blue

Oh man... atleast make red available... ML is RED to me, just look at our MLO club logo up top.

Black or grey would be nice too... it doesn't stick out. Last thing most of us here want is something that calls attention (unneeded attention) to itself and "cheapens" the expensive speakers.... I'm sure none of us want yellow or lime green. But black, grey, red would be good options if you could swing it.

Ah well...

Thanks though,
Joey

What's the status

I have just finished a project that I'm taking to market. It is a commercial anti-static vinyl cover for the Vantages and Vistas. Not only will it keep the dust off the panels, but it provides more inportant UV protection. I'm making one for the Summit also.

I am targeting a retail of $34.95/pr for the V's and $39.95/pr for the S. I'm making these available to the group for $29/pr and $34/pr.

Let me know what you think.

Tom Roberts

Hi Tom,

Been awhile since you posted this. When are the covers going to be available?

GG

Are the outriggers available for the Vantages yet? If so, how much?

Hi,

I saw these listed on Audiogon a while back but can't find them currently.

Seller appears MIA

Yeah.. I've been wondering what the status of these guys were...

I, too, saw them on A'Gon and asked about buying a pair. The seller wrote back saying he'd sell me a pair. When I tried to place an order he wrote back saying the project was dead. He never replied to my follow up about why.

Tsk, tsk . . .

Now, now Joey -- mustn't try to legislate taste. ****ography is in the groin of the beholder :D !

Flake!!!

Sorry ML Amigos but this guy looks like, smells like, feels like, and tastes like a flake.

I sent him a PM a month ago and never received a response.

I think its pretty sad to represent that you are going to do something like this and just back out without any explanation.

Tgun5, assuming that's some connectivity to the Top Gun movie, I think I'll stick with the movie. It as least has some semblance of itengrity.

Oh well, so much for integrity and honoring your word. I nominate him for TROLL OF THE YEAR.

Maybe he should be a politician and run for office or, if that doesn't work, he may have a future as a used car salesman.

Honorable Webmaster, I humbly request that TGUN be hereby banned from this Club of sincere, honest individuals.

Boy, aren't we overreacting. Has he engaged in any wrongdoing? Have you considered that other factors (personal, professional, business) may be at play? I recall, from the very beginning, that this was predicated in there being sufficient interest to justify the effort. I have no affiliation with or any interest in Tgun's ventures (except for also wanting a pair of these covers), but this sort of reaction just rubs me the wrong way. Lighten up.

Gordon,
Can't speak about the covers, but I did order the outriggers from him. He responded to every email I sent him, and apologized for the delay on the outriggers. I did receive the outriggers over a week ago and they were as promised and at the lower price he quoted.

I did check out his rating and comments on the Gon and they were all positive.

He was slow to respond sometimes to my emails, but always responded.

Lets give him a chance to explain before we start slinging mud.
Sometimes life gets busy or things happen to take us a way from our routines.

Just my .02

If he doesn't come thru MAYBE I will save all of you cover wanters and make them. Being that I've come thru before I have no doubt that I can do this simple deal. Give him time and we'll see.

And what about puns? Are those in the GROAN of the beholder? :rocker:

LOL!

How do you make all these things Jason? First the spikes, now these covers...

Don't mean to threadjack but how do you like the outriggers? Still debating whether they'd be a worthwhile upgrade...

best,

k,
They are much easier to adjust than the ML ETC spikes and get a solid footing.
But, they don't have as much adjustment as the ETC spikes when adjusting the tilt.
I went with the 2 and 1/2 inch spikes and may order a set of smaller spikes to put on the front to be able to adjust the tilt even more.

As far as sound, sounds the same to me, but I'm not what you would call a critical listener.

However they do look cool!

You got any new pics Wayne?

Apologies

I sincerely apologize for my overreaction to Tgun5 and to the rest of the members. You are correct Pualo.

My point, obviously overstated, is that the thread was started by Tgun5, representations were made, interest was generated, PM's were sent, and there's been reasonable response and no subsequent updates on this potential product.

IMHO, if the project is dead or if there's a delay for whatever reason, a simple post to that effect is appropriate.
