Phil,

:D Welcome to the ML Club!
One of my favorite films is "Cast Away" with Tom hanks, playing a FedEx manager. :) Tom Hanks and Zenkis actually came up with the idea of a FedEx manager as the main charactor of the story. I'm curious have you seen this film? What did you think?

Towards the end of my 3rd year in Med school... just had to update!

Soon, ER resident... or is it Anesthesia? :D

I'm a freelance contractor in the IT industry.

For what it's worth I started out in the air-force and was drawn into the computer industry by chance. 26 years later I'm still developing systems on a global scale. My clients include nuclear power plants, telecom and large shipping companies to name a few. One way or another I suspect I have worked with something every member on this board has touched besides posting messages.

Good choices there Joey! I have an Anesthesiologist just around the corner from me and an ER doc a couple of streets over. The FP w/ the Ob/Gyn wife live just down from me.

I would think ER/Anesthesia would be VERY exciting and fun! I have called on those guys off and on over the years depending on products that I am selling at the time. Fun to call on too, they don't seem as stressed out as some specialists.

Love my job despite the politics

Project Manager for the Pathways Program in Jackson Hole. Jackson, WY is marketed as "Jackson Hole". Jackson is one of the "gateway" communities to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. I am a Civil Engineer employed by the Teton County Engineering Dept. Responsibilities include preparing tech specs, plans, and bidding for construction for bicycle, pedestrian, and equestrian facilities. No "sheet metal" please. I also do all project administration during construction. Includes inspection for quality control, payment processing, and project close out.

Funding largely comes from Federal non-motorized programs administered through our State Highway Department. Currently, we have 28 miles of paved, multi use pathways in the valley. Have another 6 miles or so of paved pathways on the radar, to be built over the next three years.

Personal goal is to make this world a better place to be within the context of what I can contribute to this laudible goal.

Good to know another ML person in Wyoming

Civil Engineer. I design roads and do some GIS/cartography but am a structural engineer by training. Maybe I'll get into that building design again someday.....

Dear RRAYDA,

Where do you live in Wyoming? Please e-mail me at [email protected] if you would like to touch base. I'm in Jackson. Not alot of ML types in Wyoming.

Best regards,

Gordon

Beautiful place up there...look forward to going sometime...good to know there is plenty of paved "road" for me to wheel on... Smooth, flat, hard surfaces are VERY GOOD for wheelchairs!

Oh, I am a Drug Rep for GSK! Been selling drugs for about 20 years now, ever since I graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. I was a Biology and Chemistry double major and spent a semester in a PhD program for Genetics before I saw the light and realized I would never get out of school and even if I did I would never make enough money to own the things I dreamed of...like Martin Logan speakers! :D

Hey Gordon,

I'll be out your way this summer. The wife and I and some of her family are coming to Yellowstone for a week-long trip. We love it there, summer or winter. What a beautiful place to live.

Oh, and as for the subject of the thread, I am a lawyer by training, but currently I am happily dis-employed.
