I don’t know about you folks, but I really dislike most modern keyboards. They are too spongy and many of them repeat keys, have ghosting issues (when typing quick), etc.
Their lack of accuracy is real time waste, as I have to either edit or be backspacing constantly.
Recently, my wife was complaining of similar issues with her Mac’s keyboard, with three or four keys repeating. So we looked around for a replacement.
We found a great replacement candidate; modeled after the legendary Apple Extended keyboard II (I had several and loved them). It is the Matias tactile Pro 2.0

However, as part of the research I stumbled upon some additional info that PC users can also benefit from.
I loved the original IBM PC keyboard for its accuracy and feel, actually, I don’t have to miss it too much, as I have an IBM Model M (PS2 connector) on my current home PC.
I love that keyboard, and even after more than 14 years, it still works like a charm.
Reading the Wiki article on the Model M, I found that a company still uses the same designs and process and produces modern editions (with USB) that are compatible with current systems.
You can browse and order (like I just did) at http://pckeyboards.stores.yahoo.net/en104wh.html
Just remember that you must select PS2 or USB interface, the default is PS2. So careful when ordering to double-check your specs.
That Unicomp EnduraPro is just the ticket for anyone that wants accurate typing on a PC.
What are ya’ll doing for keyboards?
Cheers,
