I, too, have a fascination with horns that goes back to my enjoyment of the original Klipschhorns back in the early '80s. Unfortunately, I haven't had an opportunity to really audition any horns since then, but I think they make for some artistically beautiful speakers. Personally, I love the look of the Avant-Garde Trios. I wish I could audition a pair hooked up to a SET amp. Maybe one of these days. . .

Any other Loganites have experiences with horn speakers?

Funny you mention the Klipschorns, they were my first exposure to the high end at a store in Denver called Listen Up. They were being driven by an Apt Holman amp and pre-amp and I was listening to Fresh Aire III. I was mesmerised.

To this day I still love the look/sound of horns even though I'm a dedicated Logan-ite.

I heard the AvantGarde Trios with a pair of BassHorns at the Denver Audio Fest last year hooked up to an all Thore/Oracle system. I found them to be fantastic! Not at all nasal or constricted, just lush, effortless and beautiful with all types of music. I must have spent an hour in that room.
