How has hearing loss affected your music listening? My mom just got nice hearing aides, but I bet they probably don't sound so great with music. What's your experience? I own a set of Prodigy speakers.
Good point about people assuming things based on appearance. When I was younger I was into bodybuilding. When I told new people that I was a teacher in high school, they assumed I taught gym. When I told them I taught Chemistry and Biology they were surprised.
Too much bass in my opinion in this case is because the panels are worn out. I had that with my Prodigy speakers made in 2000. The bass is overpowering because the panels have low output. Have you tried running DSP on them? When I ran Audyssey on mine they sounded very good. Audyssey tuned down...
Whats the symptom of the defect? How does the bad panel sound different? I'm curious. That's disturbing to me that it's not 3 years old and already having problems. Do you live in a humid area?
At mid ohio when I go, I see a bunch of people running Hoosiers. Maybe they're using different models? If I remember right, our sessions are more like 20 minutes. One time we had 30 min! 30min was almost too long because I got tired out, lol.
My wife is the same way. Most of the speakers I've owned sound the same to her. Sometimes I think she's being honest, and she just doesn't really pay attention to the sound quality. Shed be happy with a set of Bose speakers. I got my mother a new 65 inch tv and a Bose sound bar. My wife thought...
Which Martin Logan speakers did you own before the 15s? Im curious if you feel like the 15s are a big improvement over what you previously had. What I am really wondering is how my Prodigies with new panels sound compared to the newer 15 speakers.
