Welcome to the forum! You should be able to find a working pair for $1800 - $2200 depending on the model. I'd go for the last generation of CLS IIz's. I think new panels run $1600 a pair.

Todd, interesting thread and I've had similar thoughts about this. I was at a live Alison Krauss show in Denver at an outside venue (Redrocks) and between the opening band and AKUS they played house music and it didn't sound anything like the live shows.

Welcome! I believe some of the users here use hockey pucks to put between the spikes and the wood floor and I think they are fairly cheap.

I agree with Ken! I've tried many crossover slopes and have moved mine up from about 55 HZ to 88Hz using a 24 dB slope and it sounds fantastic!
