I know that this has been discussed before over the last month or so, but I can't seem to find the threads. With the local Tower closing its doors, I don't have anywhere locally that I can buy high-quality CDs and/or SACDs anymore. Do any of you here get them online? If so, where would you recommend? I remember someone mentioning someplace where if you buy more that 5 or so you could get a pretty good discount, but my primary requirment is that the recording quality must be high. TIA

You know, even though I've bought off of eBay for years, it didn't occur to me to look there. Weird, huh? The only thing, though, is that you really need to know exactly what you're looking for (i.e., browsing is more difficult).

I want to thank everyone for their input. Last night I stayed up until 2:30 am finding discs for my new library and music server. I ended up using www.eBay.com, www.musicdirect.com, www.amazon.com, www.mapleshaderecords.com, and www.mofi.com. I particularly liked the sites that had sample cuts (primarily Mapleshade and Amazon). I think I picked up over twenty discs!
I just found another good site, www.aixrecords.com, but be advised that their high-resolution focus is DVD-A rather then SACD. Overall, a nice site with a good selection.

The email they send you confirming your purchase is a real hoot. For starters, the sender of the email for my order was "CDBaby Loves Bernard". The content of the email was also funny.
