Testing Devialet with Logans below 4 ohms

Hi, some people have said that Devialets do not do well with Logans/Electrostats when impedance level drops below 4 ohms. How do I test that? I am auditioning them with Logans probably this weekend, so while playing a song, how do I test a drop in the impedance?

Has anyone tested this combo?

Also, just read that drop to low impedance happens when high frequencies are played. So even if Devialet does have this problem, if I am listening at normal volumes, and not at crazy high volumes, should this bother me?

I will be listening to rock drums, so they could have cymbals, but not at crazy high volumes

A friend of mine pairs a Devialet with ML Ascents.

Absolutely no problems whatsoever.

In fact I have never heard Martin Logans driven with such authority

I auditioned a pair of Theos this Easter in Oxford. The dealer chose to use the Devialet for the audition. It worked very well, indeed. And remember that the Theos are fully passive, so they are among the most demanding MLs for the amp.

Hey I am going there on Saturday, to Oxford Audio. Right now he has EM ESLs, which I will try with Devialet and compare it to AR.

Two weeks ago, I had a brief conversation with my dealer in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and he told me that he gets great results with Devialet driving Ethos speakers. I haven't heard this combo myself, but I trust his ears...
