I thought the older models are bulky and hard to integrate into most peoples system. the newer ones look much more space age and a more stream in design . I also have the say that some of the black composites that the older speakers used and woods seem to be a little bulky and cheap looking. I like the fact that practically every part of the new xstat sytle speaker is used to make sound !

... Are the $10,000 Summits better than the $2,800 Sequels? Yes they are, but are they $7,200 better? It depends on your tastes and pocket book.

Please forgive any spelling errors, I am on my 3rd Victory Imperial Stout. This beer was rated a perfect 100 by Beer Advocate and I have to agree this is one great beer.
NOTHING is better than the Sequels! :D

I think the x-stat panels have merely allowed ML to get the same sound out of a smaller, more WAF-friendly panel. It is a more efficient transducer, and thus can be made smaller without losing that great ML sound. Combined with the other improvements in crossover technology and woofer design, I think that it brings the overall quality level of the new generation ML's up a notch from the old line. If you compare the Summit to its predecessor, the Prodigy, you find that the Summit puts out the same level of sound in a lot smaller, more efficient package, and it is overall more neutrally-balanced (the prodigy noticeably accentuates the mid-bass).
