Quest versions

Hi everyone,
I have seen many talk about the Quest, reQuest and Quest Z.

What is the difference between them all?
Is it the manufacturing dates and versions of upgrades of electronics?


I just picked up a pair of Quest, So this is the reason I am asking.

I am just hooking them up, but they are a lot quieter than my Aerius i's.
They don't seem as sensitive.

Looks like a run to the shower may be in order.

Search through the archives and the product timeline for the differences between the Quests series. I know I read it somewhere there.

I used to have a Quest Z and the sensitivity between them and my much newer Aerius i's was dramatic. Almost 10db according to the HT receiver and RS spl meter.... I did the wash and the sound came back to life but it was still maybe 6-8db difference. My new Ascent i's are a perfect match with the Theatre +- 1db.
