Do the prodigy's have a gain on the sub amp? If not, what is the efficiency of their OEM sub speaker? I would try to do that. You might need to have volume matching and check the crossover parameters of the speaker and see what the Scanspeak can do within that.
Scanspeak are likely a huge upgrade with those thoughts in mind. I had an experience changing out my Theater woofers using Scanspeak.
I highly recommend Madisound for prompt service. A huge distributor that has been around for a very long time. They often have a room at Axpona.
I did need to purchase a 10" and I purchased their Morel offering over all the other 10" at the time. While I do not specifically remember the Scanspeak 10", I think I parsed through that and chose the Morel because it has a beefier construction. I was on the Madisound premises asking about their offerings and I live in their home town.
The Morel is an 8 Ohm like your Scanspeak but not a paper cone like your Scanspeak. The Morel is rated for 600 watts and is an inefficient 87dB because of Hofmans Iron Law. I used it with a separate amp in a 15" bass bin enclosure I modified and reinforced as a project. Later on, I sold it and went with their 12" version.

By the way, I used a Scanspeak 6" to replace the 4 woofers in my two ML theaters. I do like the brand and construction. When I removed my 6" OEM woofers, the construction difference was night and day between the two. If Martin Logan were to have chosen that Scanspeak for their woofers, the price of the speaker would have been astronomical. My decision to replace a center channel speaker was unwarranted and overkill. I strongly support your decision to go with a good speaker brand like Scanspeak and Morel for a music only speaker. Don't go cheap.
