No CLX's for me...

They played a nice range of stuff, which was good for Metallica fans new and old. What they did play from the new album sounded way better live than it did on Death Magnetic.

The stage was killer, it was an in the round situation and wide open. The guys also were very cool roaming the stage a lot, so everyone got a chance to see them.

I've always thought Metallica was a much better band live than on record. They are much more energetic and dynamic live.

Here's a shot from the pit, it was great to get up close and personal for the first three songs. (not like the old days, when they would let you shoot the whole concert!)

They are getting closer...

Rumor has it that Roadway is going to be here within the next hour!

However, they've told me that they only have two of the original three
boxes....

I am hoping that the box they lost is the Descent crossover board,
not one of the two CLX's!

I'll post back as soon as they get here!!!

I can't see how they could lose the CLX boxes, let's hope it is the Descent crossover. The CLX boxes are pretty big, they are 6 feet tall and 33 inches wide and about 24 iches deep. And be very careful moving them inside, one end is very heavy the other end is pretty light. Make sure you lead with the heavy end. Each box weighs about 150 to 180 pounds with about 75 to 80 percent of that on one end. The hand holds on the side will pop out at the slightest provocation and they don't seem to want to go back in the hole either. The boxes are made of a hard slick cardboard and the straps will cut your hands so be careful, they are not easy to hold on to if you just pick them up on the end. Hopefully you will have at least another person like the Hulk to help you and a third person to open and close doors as you move into and through the house. Of course that assumes that you are not going to set them up in the back yard to entertain your neighbors.

For the ticket price on the CLX and probably the shipping cost, you could have paid me to drive to ML, pick them up, and deliver them for you. You think they would put some sort of "priority" on an item like that.
