I recently purchased a new Music Hall MMF-7 and a Project Tube Box II.
After very few hours I noticed diminishing volume in the right channel. I switched the tubes from L to R and it was the tubes. I replaced the stock tubes with Tung-Sol 12AX7's and what a difference! It cured the volume problem and then some. Much more clarity even before the tubes have burned in.
I was wondering if anyone out there used a Tube Box II and if they had experienced any problems.
By the way I got the tubes from Kurt Doslu of Echo Audio. This is a guy you should all contact. He is a new and used hi end equipment dealer and is certainly a cut above the rest. He is honest, reputable and well respected in the Portland, OR area. Check out his website for rare and quality equipment.
