I was at a family reunion in Michigan this weekend, and VERY surprised to find out that my 28 y/o cousin and her husband are budding audiophiles! The last time I saw her, she was a rebellious college girl going Goth! Now she's a successful technical writer, and part-time keyboardist, living in Philly, and along with her husband, has collected over 2000 LP's!! (mainly indie rock and ambient stuff). Although they only have entry-level gear, they just upgraded to some larger JBL speakers (don't recall the model) and told me they spend weekends perusing garage sales and used record stores, while drooling over past issues of S'phile! They wanted to hear about my setup and music preferences, and were equally surprised to find out I share this hobby. Maybe we're not a dying herd of dinosaurs after all!

I can relate Sleepy....for both my boys (30 and 28) are serious music / audio lovers. My oldest son just recently ventured into the analog world, along with a young snowmobiling buddy of mine (26), whoes Lp collection is pushing 1000 ! I have no idea where all this vinyl influence comes from.....
