I would think Oz has some electronics stores that are selling 3D and surround sound systems. But if not maybe someone you know will take the 3D plunge and then that might be your chance to pounce.
The only electronics stores I've seen selling them have them set up in completely inappropriate places, with some cheap surround system from Pioneer or Sony!
