Hello,

here’s my simple HT set up;
Just replaced the crown XLS 2502 amp with ATI 1803 3-channel amplifier. I’m glad I did! Fronts & especially the center channel improved (center used to be ran by AVR)! ☺

The Crown is definitely way more powerful since it has 3x more wattage.
But the ATI is more musical. I wish the ATI just had more power since it’s only around 270wpc @ 4 ohms.

Amperage may ultimately have more impact on sound quality of M-Ls than wattage. IMHO this is why Pass amps even the lower "wattage" XA30.8s are so synergistic with e:stats. I WILL say that as I have gone up in wattage within a series SA, Aleph, XA the sound does relax more. That being said, the XA60.8s have been measured at peak power of approximately 300 watts vs their nominal 60wpc.
