Election: Who's the winner and when will it be called

It's not what I expected when I woke up either.

With Trump as president and a GOP majority in both houses, I expect that we will see a lot happen in a short time.

What I heard was that Trump got about as many votes as Romney did in 2012, but the Democratic voters far from having a record turn out did not show up even at levels of the 2012 election. Hillary was that unpopular with her base.

Considering the growing unrest, maybe it will work out better that we rip the bandaid off now.

The GOP is now running everything. Now they are on the hot seat and have to produce. They can't blame anyone for being in their way.

The can now repeal the ACA, but now they have to find something to replace it with or they will just be the bad guys throwing millions of people off healthcare.

They will now be accountable for getting results. After being obstructionist for 8 years and doing nothing, that will be a serious challenge.

I heard someone say that now he needs to go after Hillary. My prediction is that this is the first of many turning points for Trump. He can act presidential and magnanimous by accepting her defeat and moving on, or he can spend the next two years of GOP control of the Senate and Congress on a witch hunt wasting valuable time. If he takes the path of anger, I believe we are in for a rough 4 years, but I don't think he would get anything accomplished, the Democrats would get control of the Senate and Congress in 2 years and we would be back to a stalemate.

Does the witch hunt begin / continue for her, the Foundation, illegal Mexicans, Muslims, and all the other groups DT disparaged and insulted during the campaign?

Seems to me this is the last thing people should be thinking but given the toxic environment, it's not surprising.

Hatred is a very powerful, destructive emotion.

Well, there is no "beginning" an investigation into the foundation by the FBI, because it has been on going on now for some time. I would have to search for one of my original posts when the whole email situation first began, but I said at that time the real investigation should be about the foundation, or something like that.

If I were to be charged by the state of Virginia for some sort of fraud or crime I have committed here in my insurance business, I can guarantee you that the investigation would not cease if I were to sell my company and quit the industry. If she was operating a "pay to play" scheme through the foundation, and the FBI is currently investigating that possibility, why should it stop now?

Bill's speech compensation went way up after she became Secretary of State. The Clinton Foundation received a massive influx of donations, 'after' she become Secretary of State. I ask again, do you think that will continue, in the amounts as before, now that she and Bill might be out of politics? If it doesn't, that tells me something. It should tell anyone something.
