I really doubt that I will ever use a sub with these the bass is quite a bit lower that the CLS and I wouldnt want a sub with them either. For about 90 percent of music there isnt much music below 50hz. One of my references for low bass is Funeral for a Friend and the CLX's were incredible right out of the box.
