The ELS panels on my Ascents have slipped down: 1/2" on the left speaker and about a 1/4" on the right speaker. Sometime ago I e-mailed ML about the condition and was told they were aware of the issue and working on a fix but never heard back. Has anyone had a similar situation and is there a fix?

Not to worry we all have experiences that in one form or another. Since you live in a dry climate like I do, it is bound to happen. What holds the panel in place are the rails on the outside but on the backside of the panel is double edge tape. My Sequels had done exactly what you describe. I went to Home Depot and bought some 1/4" 3M brand double sided tape and replaced the original. Presto, all is good.

Chances are if you speakers are not that old you may be able just to move the panel back up to where it was and it will stay.

Good Luck

Better late than never - thanks for your feed back.

I ended up attaching 1/2"x2" straight brackets to the underside of the speaker's side panels and extended them out just far enough to catch the base of the panels. To protect the panels at the contact point I attached a piece of HD foam. "Presto all is good"
