Nope, if I get to custom order a pair of CLX's they will
be lime green. It's my favorite color, always has been

Hm. Just so we can all see what we are talking about here... $20K PLUS the custom paint job - take the maple, tonepub, you MAY SEVERELY limit your re-sale value!

Hey, just noticed - I am now a SENIOR MEMBER! Where's my medal?

Now if I was going to buy the CLX, I'd WANT it in the Spire finish below, but it isn't available. I think that is an awesome veneer... but would I ever sell them on in that? Hm...

It will pick up the lime green highlights on my Naim 555
quite nicely.

If I can't get lime green in a timely fashion, the standard
maple would be fine too. That's what color my Summits are.

Obviously, you have no sense of artistic adventure. That's
why they offer em in the standard finish....

You write the check, you can tell me what color to get them.

I think that would be AWESOME Jeff. I hope you go for it and I can't wait to see them.

Gilbert Yeong (sp?) who is the owner and designer of Blue Circle Audio used to have his system up on the old site. He had a stunning pair of hot pink CLS's - as well as a more traditional pair of Statement E2's as I recall.

lime green gag me with a spoon!I can understand red, wenge, bubinga and the others but lime green I think you are pulling my fin.I do like the natural cherry one other member got those and they did look good

Fish Man, I am with Tonepub on this one. I feel the way you feel about lime green about traditional woods, especially the ones that have wild wood patterns. Thank GOD we no longer live in the middle ages! Veneers like lime green look great with brown, orange, purple, and many other colors as part of an amazingly designed decor. We own very modern looking speakers, so why make them look ancient? It all comes down to taste and thank god we have a choice!

I kinda like the lime green. The hot pink should look nice too. But with bright colors like those you'll need to carefully match them to your flooring or carpeting.

Go for it, Jeff !!

you are right

you can get them however you like. I did not meen to be so harsh I just really do not like lime green, hot pink ,or anything else like that. I like the spire veneer user211 suggested though. I really wish the would have made them look a little different than they did.I really think logan has the best looking stuff I just do not really like this one sorry ML.

I think the CLX would look fantastic in clear acrylic. Probably works well sonically too.

Would go well with my clear acrylic turntable. Hmmm ... the more I think about it...

Hoping a photoshop master could show it might look...
