I have a 7.1 system with Summits in front, stage center, scripts sides and Sl3's rear. My room size is 11'4" wide and 23' long. My question is that the scripts are on stands and they are close to the listeners and i was wondering if i can turn them so they are like dipoles and get good results, they are now direct firing towards the people. thanks

You would have very little disperson toward the listeners. Personally, I think it wouldn't work well. But hey, they're on stands... try it and see.

I agree with Hockey... limited dispersion from the scripts - not great for indirect sound source.

I agree with the others. I have 3 HTs two of which are 7.1 and 7.2 with Stylos and MLs all around.

Remember the side channels will be fed their own channel and in many instances it is for ambience, so direct to the listener is the only way that sound will work.
