ya I think the gain is like 10 times what it takes for a high output is :D I believe the phono stage in my c2300 will handle it fine but have been told if this stage is not everything but almost perfect you will hear noise do to the amplification involved.

lets keep this in perspective I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about as I have never heard a MC and just spent $1275 dollars on a Lyra that may sound just as good or even worse than my Ortofon :eek: i am just repeating what I have heard.

I just made the leap of faith to a MC cartridge I hope it sounds better than my current MM. the way I have heard it described is that their is much less mas in a MC than a MM sort of like your electrostatic speakers the sower the mas the faster and more accurately it can trace the signal thus...

they do not use it because they are stupid and it does not look "hi tech" enough I suppose maybe it's a heat issue? anyway I like the wood I think your amps look really nice.

I have had very little trouble with the records I have purchased their have been a few but not many. the thicker vinyl is better but I have thin records that are amazing it really boils down to weather or not it was recorded well and how good the production was. I feel that for the Logan owning...

I wish I could audition it as well it will be my first jump to a MC cartridge I have some high hopes I hope I am not going to get let down.auditions are really not worth a whole lot to me though as room amps and speakers will alter the heard sounds so much.
