Gulp............... I can't believe where that decimal point is !! Imagine that...a grand for two tickets to a regular season baseball game, who woulda thought !

As far as my memories of the old Stadium.......1966, my dad took me for the first time to see Whitey Ford pitch, got a foul ball off the bat of Elston Howard.

Yeah kind of had sticker shock but we are behind the Yankees dugout almost at field level

Hey Dave you only live once !!!

Lets hope they get a win against the Bosox this series, right now their Ofer.

I am a "little" jealous with your seats, but still stoked as my wife scored yankees versus red sox tickets from her work of all places.

We will be at the game on the 6th. Center field fairly high up but still should be a great game.

I grew up in upstate NY so I will be there with my NY hat on and be cheering the yanks. (Hopefully the pitching will be on -hoping Chamberlain keeps his magic).

Also looking forward to taking in the new stadium.

Your coming a long way for the game , I grew up in Buffalo and have loved the Yanks since I was a kid.

I hope you enjoy the game and the new stadium I cant wait to see it

Holy smokes 'steelhead'...as Larry said you're coming a loooong ways for that game...ENJOY ! Like Larry, myself a 'Buffalonian' growing up with the Mick, Whitey, Pepitone, etc but must admitt since moving to the Philly area in '68 combined with the "Stienbrener era" I have become a die hard Phillies fan.

FWIW, I will always have a soft spot for both the Yankees and the Pirates.... seems like yesterday that 'Maz' hit that homerun to beat the Yankees in the '60 World series !!

On another thought I've got to interject with a plug for a book I've read recently, 'Miracle Ball', a great story of one mans quest to find the Bobby Thompson ball (shot heard 'round the world) from the playoff game against the Dodgers in '51. A MUST read for any REAL baseball fan !

Yes, Alaska to NY is a LONG jet ride.

I grew up in upstate NY so it is still special and "home" in a way. I still have land in he Adirondacks that keep me tied to the area.

Even though I live in Alaska, (and I LOVE this state). NY is special,

Repman are you in NY on the 6th? Maybe we can hook up and have a brew???

My wife and I get in on the 5th we have tickets for wicked on the 6th but maybe we can have a drink before we go to the show or hook up for lunch on thursday , let me know. larry

Wow, you are in for a treat according to my better half.

My wife and daughter LOVED Wicked when they caught it a couple of years ago on Broadway.

OK, I will email privately with phone numbers and maybe we can meet if time/circumstances allow.

It it is very hectic at my end also as I will have the grandkids (going to overdose them on everything NY) and then drag them upstate and continue to spoil them.

I am staying in Manhatten and will not have a rental (due to parking prices) and will be using the subway until I head upstate.
