Going to take my Step 2 exam tomorrow (Nov 27).... I'm going to need some good luck from you friends. The exam is 9 hours loooong... so it's going to be a doozy. Starts at 8:30am and ends at 6pm.

I've prepared well for it, but as with anything - I guess I could have prepared better. Anyway, it's almost game time!

See ya later guys... I'm going to be more participative on this forum once everything calms down again. Thanks!

Joey :)

Just relax and show 'em what you know!

Afterwards, let us know what music was playing in your head during the exam! :D

I'd say break a leg but I assume that would be malpractice right out of the gate. Best of luck!

THANKS GUYS!!

Just got out... to say that I'm a bit woozy is an understatement! Wooo....

Long exam and it just felt like it would never end. I've been prepping myself for this exam for a month and a half now and doing 4hrs worth of questions per day, but nothing prepares you for a double dose of nerve-racking questions on the real day. It's just soooo looong... and the material isn't easy... it's pretty tough especially with limited clinical experience (and the test makers know that).

But LOOONG... the test center had several different exams going - from CPA to Pharmacy licensure exams to small 1h college exams. I was the first one in.... and the last one out. I had atleast 3 or 4 different waves of test-takers come in and out while I took my exam. Definitely, the worst part about this exam is the people going in after me and leaving before me.

I went in when it was bright outside and left when it was dark... though it was nice that it was in the middle of the city so I definitely took in the sights and smell of cold November air as I took the long way home.

As SleepySurf and others know, these Step exams are a doozy.

I'd never want to repeat one... but now, I'm going to make myself stupid and play Halo 3 all night long.

And definitely back to this audio habbit.... I'm off for 2 months (until Feb) and nothing to do but residency interviews (22 of them). I'm crossing my fingers for a good score on this Step 2 in the meanwhile...

Alright... time to be STUPID! :D :D

I hope you go well with your exam results, Joey. Maybe those that came in after you, and left early didn't know their stuff as well as you...

Thanks Edwin! The guys and gals who came in before/after me had shorter exams. The center caters to 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 hour exams throughout the day. It was just depressing knowing that I was there the longest.

I mean, by the end of the day, I had already befriended the proctor (who monitored my breaks and lunch)!

I've been out of the loop for a few days, so I just saw this. Belated good luck and hopeful congratulations! :D :D

When will you know the results? (This isn't like bar exams where you have to wait months and months, I hope.)

I think 3 weeks is what they told me.

I'm crossing my fingers for a superior score. It would definitely help with residency rankings.

Thanks Ken!
