What veneer have I got?

This might sound like a really stupid question... My newly-purchased Summits are a beautiful veneer, but I'm not certain exactly what timber it came from. What options were available for these speakers in 2005? This is a photo from when I got them home, hopefully it shows up the finish. Is it cherry, perhaps?

Looks like Dark Cherry, but your picture isn't very clear. Could also be Bubinga.

Yes I agree, they do look like dark cherry - they're definitely not Bubinga and the other finishes look too light. Much obliged!
