Another SS preamp recommend
Hi Jeff,
Have the CJ Premier 18LS. I believe it is the only SS preamp CJ makes at this time. Have had this piece in my system for approx. 6 years and have no desire to try anything else.
FWIW, this piece has made it on the TAS recommended preamp list for a couple of years now. And, like any good hi end preamp, it is very transparent to any changes made in the system.
I really like the way CJ "voices" their gear. This piece makes a strong case for a preamp that combines the advantages of SS gear and tubes at a "relatively" reasonable price.
Having said that, I'd love to audition the CJ ACT II but it's way out of my price range. I suspect that the ACT II and the ARC Ref 3 share alot in common.
