Hi Dave,
I read the first part before the forum discussion - haven't the time to read it all tonight.
First off, I didn't think I was presenting an "absolute" dichotomy - just playing with a few ideas, and attempting to evoke a response. I know no better than the next man, whose opinions may well be equally, or possibly in Jon's case, more valid. But the thread title does indeed present one for discussion, so I do see your point.
Jon makes somes excellent points and I really wouldn't like to disagree or take issue with what he has said. I have posted links to his Japan trip stuff before.
I wish I had more to add/say...
