I parked the digital for a few days and ventured towards my GOTO store for vinyl audiophile reference recordings, oh boy! Do these sound superb! Especially when the CJ TEA2SE Max phonostage gets going, it really gets going! Those Teflon caps & Vishay resistors takes a while to settle in, once settled prepared for take off!

Out of this collection, the Natalie Merchant Tiger Lilly album is supreme. I know Mo Fi got some bad flack for their claims... but whatever it is, this time one's really tops! On 45rpm limited SE really well done. That Bob James one is another fine recording. So I've been mesmerised for the last three days... will get back to digital on Tues.

A mighty WOOF!

As a major Rachmaninoff fan, was thrilled to learn about this trio performance in 5.1 of the two Trio Élégiaques, plus a lovely version of Vocalise.

In my highly treated room, the recorded hall ambiance is well reproduced by the multichannel presentation on this SACD.

Performances are first-rate, as is the recording. Perfect for large electrostats.
Recommended.

Yup that’s what I’m streaming it off, unfortunately it’s not MQA.
Many of the FLAC files sound as good or even better than MQA. Usually I can't tell what the format is just by listening, and I have to cheat and look at my player app to see.

Yeah, I've been playing his most popular tracks on Tidal, but found some good ones not even on the list. Vast amount!
Ive been more pleased with the non-live tracks for some reason. The live that I have listened too, although good, don't seem that great for live. Maybe it's just the tracks I've listened to. Studio can always have an advantage, but great live is really enjoyable when you can find it.

I’m a big Benny Carter fan. This recording is superb as is the mastering. They really had some quality analogue equipment to work with in 1958. And it comes shining thru sonically on this album. And the best part it’s in stock and available now for $29.99. After this….Dire Straits Making Movies
