Oh, yes, loving this one @RUR. I had the BluRay on pre-order and it sounds wonderful on my rig. Been playing it almost daily.
The inside joke is that thanks to the addition of Gavin Harrison (ex-Porcupine Tree) on drums, this album sounds a lot like a Porcupine Thief or Pineapple Tree album
Either way, a great album in any format.
Now, the one I'm super-looking forward to is the new Riverside album coming out 9/28/18.

In my teenage years I listened a lot to Led Zeppelin while my friends were either in their Madonna, Prince or Michael Jackson phase. We're talking the 1980's here. I somehow lost my love for Led Zeppelin along the way. But since I started listening more intensely to music, I realise how good Led Zeppelin actually is. So this is my soapbox moment to get you listening to them (again)!
Last night was the first time since a very long time that I played them again. I downloaded Led Zeppelin x Led Zeppelin, which is the 2018 compilation album of their hits. When Black Dog came on, I was just fascinated with the arrangement. I've heard it so many times before, but such a brilliant rhythm! It made me fall in love again.
Here is a very nice video on YouTube about John Bonham's influence as a drummer in the band. Absolutely worth a watch, even if you're not a Led Zeppelin or Rock and Roll fan. What Makes John Bonham Such a Good Drummer?
I actually went back to Led Zeppelin because while audio roaming I came across Greta van Fleet. If you've never heard of this band and you follow the YouTube link, just close your eyes and imagine the era and band playing. What do you hear? Unmistakably, right?
Their album From The Fires is a worthy listen for any Rock and Roll enthusiast. Greta Van Fleet's new album Anthem Of The Peaceful Army comes out the 19th.

The Marcus King Band - Carolina Confessions
Amazing enjoyable Blues Rock band coming out of South Carolina. Marcus will have you toe-tapping-finger-snapping-head-swagging to the music. If you can't feel anything listening to this performance you are by definition flatlining.

Recently discovered this band "Crack The Sky" and have been going thru their entire catalog. Progressive Rock/Pop with a little funk and fun thrown in.
I'm on their 4th album, "White Music". VERY good!

Majorly disappointed by this latest release by Greta Van Fleet.
Way too much screaming to start with, but the key in which the singer screams really bothers me. Way to harsh sounding. I guess that on previous recordings the reverb was so overwhelming that it somehow tonally changed this harshness. The rest of the music isn't up to scratch either. Not enough originality or diversity.
Ah well, enough music out there to listen to...I might even give Crack The Sky a second chance.

Listening to the new Imagine Dragons album.
A few songs sound interesting. it seems a bit more main stream pop to me than the stuff they do that I really enjoy which seems to stand out.

While audioroaming I came across Nathan Bell. Simple but beautiful Americana and folk songs. He's touring Europe at the moment, so I'm going to see him live the 6th of December.

Just discovered this Progressive Rock band from Sweden called The Flower Kings.
Giving their 1995 album "Back in the World of Adventure" a listen. WOW. If you like prog, check these guys out!!

I saw Nathan Bell yesterday at a very small theatre which made for a very personal experience. I have to say that this guy deserves more attention and appreciation. I had a quick talk with him during the interval, such a lovely and charismatic guy. He said he only gives about ten performances a year in the US. It remains unclear why so little times, but maybe that's why he's not that known yet after all these years.
If you would like to listen to him performing live, I can highly recommend this album recorded while he was touring in Wales: Nathan Bell - Er Gweatha Pawb a Phopeth (or on Spotify).

I heard Cary Lewincamp playing in Hobart, Tasmania at the Salamanca Market a few weeks ago. He plays a 7 string guitar he built himself. His music a combination of Classical, Jazz and Folk that is very relaxing. The sound from his guitars just seem to hang on in the air when he was playing live.
I purchased his first album Under the Same Moon to see want the recording quality was like and it is wonderful. The full body rich tone of his stile is well captured on the CD.
I have ordered more of his music.
