The DAC in the ZP100 is ok, but I just run those with cheap cone speakers. I have a ZP80 hooked up in the media room and I run digital out (toslink) to the Pioneer receiver and use its DAC. For me this just serves up lossless bitstreams to the receiver's DAC, Works great, cann't tell the difference from putting CDs into the Oppo (also digital connection). But I do like the interface both from the Sonos controller and from the computer app. It is easy enough for my wife to work, although they could learn a few lessons from the iPod. If you would like to demo before buying you can stop and see for yourself.
