Im a bit late to the party so Ill just say It is one of my favorite pieces !

Encouraged by everyone's advice, I took the plunge and ordered the Speakers Corner boxed set (containing the Dorati Firebird Suite, Rite of Spring, and another record that has slipped my mind). I also added the 200g Fritz Reiner Lt. Kije, Lou Reed's Transformer (180g), and AC/DC's Black Ice (180g) to the order. So that's my $50 Acoustic Sounds gift certificate I got for Xmas well and truely spent!

Thanks again for your input guys.

Having heard the Chesky brothers re-mastering of Lt. Kije many times, I'd sure appreciate a report on the 200g pressing.

Will do. Much to my irritation, I was browsing Acoustic Sounds' web site this afternoon and noticed that Lt Kije was also available as a 45 RPM disc. I would've ordered that one had I known about it this AM! I phoned Acoustic Sounds to see if I could change my order, but it had already been shipped!

Sometimes fast service isn't always a plus. I guess if I really like it, I can order the 45 RPM version, but I'd rather spend the money on something else rather than duplicating a record I already have...

Lesson learned!
