Rich, I was going to suggest that you buy it :)devil:), so you can compare it to your present amp, but I have no idea what you have at present as I have been waiting really, really, really long for your system description.

I have done the comparison. The Sanders has the best sounding high end I have ever heard. It also has very nice, natural sounding bass. The midrange is a bit thin compared to other amps at that price point. The CJ 350 has amazing bass and the best midrange I have ever heard. This includes tube amps at that and at lower price points. I have heard at least half dozen amps at that price point. It all depends on what's more important to you. I still stand by my statement that if budget is not an issue, the SS amps at the $7K-$10K+ price point are the way to go with the Logans.

Thanks, David. It is nice to hear impressions from someone who has actually compared these amps. Perhaps what you hear as a thinness in the Sanders' midrange is part of what I call its neutrality. Seems to me it does everything well, but no part is accentuated above anything else. No question that the CJ amps (both SS & tube) do midrange like nobody else.

I totally agree with you on that one.

I do want to stress that the "thinness" is only in comparison to others in that price range. The truth is at that level, I could live with any amp at that price point (- ok, maybe not the Levinson). The speakers really come alive at that level, and I stop fantasizing about other better possibilities. It is audio nirvana.
