I bought my first ML speakers, the SL3, in 1999 and have been using them with great pleasure until a few weeks ago. Then I surprisingly got an offer of a 2-years-old pair of Summit X's for only a quarter of the original price, which I couldn't resist. These new speakers pushed my system to another audiophile dimension! Although the SL3 sounded pretty good and accurate, they lacked in bass power and precision. The Summit X is a huge improvement what that is concerned, and they also provide a larger virtual stage. Together with the excellent Accupase amp, my system now (almost) doesn't know any volume limit, and I like to play it loud! (Poor neighbours ;-) )
