This site has really slowed.
Been trying to resurrect my favorite thread and
The only response has been some spam.
I've picked up some really good music over
the years based off the posts in this thread.

After all it's about the music, this crazy hobby of ours.
Isn't it??

Good to hear from you Dave,

I don't know about content, the political
threads seem to blow up around here!

Adele ~ 21
I'm addicted to her version of
Robert Smith's Lovesong.

This one really opened my ears to Adele's music and performance.

The Blu-ray comes with excellent CD version.

Hexvessel - No Holier Temple, psychedelic neofolk with some prog rock influences... weird but good stuff.

Got a chance this morning to watch the DVD.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Voice of an angel and
Curses like a sailor
Doesn't get much better!

I'm listening to the new Martha Wainwright "Come Home To Mama". Excellent! It really helps when both your parents are very talented. Her father is Loudon Wainwright III and her mother was Kate McGarrigle. Highly recommended.

Povl Dissing and Jacob Bro trio - That Lucky Old Sun

http://www.allmusic.com/album/that-lucky-old-sun-mw0002010289

To most of you out there, this will sound crazy: a Danish singer/songwriter interpreting Louis Armstrong together with an jazz guitarist and his trio. To all of in Denmark who grew up with the unique singing of Povl Dissing (the closest thing you can get to a national Danish trobadour), it makes perfect sense.

It can not be described. Check it out on the link. The vinyl pressing is fantastic (and yellow!)

I was Hong Kong Records and I heard this voice that totally blew me away. At the counter they had a stack of Chantal Chamberland “Serendipity Street” and the label on the stack said now playing. I picked up the HD format of the cd and took it home. When I got it home I played it and was very taken by her voice and the production quality of this CD. I highly recommend this CD.
