I have been using SPM with great success with my SL-3's - strong bass, big stage - it is not that expensive if you have monobloc's & can use a very short run to the speakers.
For power to the speakers I'm very happy with the NBS Dragonfly cord.
A less expensive bass booster I recently discovered is balanced power. I purchased an Equi-Tech 'balanced power toridal transformer in a box' off the surplus items section of their site for line noise elimination & found the added benefit of tighter, deeper base. I'm not sure if the balanced power benefits my amps or speakers the most, but it sure makes a big improvement!
