Sequal MK 1 Vs Vista

I have the Sequals and they sound great. could be a bit big for the space im in but i also have the opportunity to switch to the vista? what do yall think?
I feel like my sons els 9 sound great but i feel like the sequals just sound bigger..

I've owned Vista before, but haven't heard Sequels.

Looking at photos, the distance between the spars on the panels looks to be greater on the Sequel, so I wonder if this lends it to sounding "bigger" ? Plus, the Sequel is twice the weight of the Vista, which probably also affects the sound.

I’m scared, if I get the vistas and they don’t sound as good as the sequels, I’ll be bummed out.

I too have owned the Vista but not the Sequel. The Vista is far newer technology for almost every component - panel, XO, cabinet, etc. But both are old enough to harbour serious problems if you buy something that is not in great condition.

Can't comment on the sound - you have to make that call, and the only way you can do that is by listening to both. And if it's not in the same environment, then acoustics could affect sound far more than the speakers.

It's been my experience that panel size and transformers are the significant variables affecting an ESL's sound, and [transformers being equivalent], bigger panels sound better.
