Quest upgrade REQUEST ?

I'm newbie to the forum ...


I can buy ML QUEST which according to the seller updated to REQUEST. After having ordered the serial numbers of the panels, they are from the Quest series from September / November 1995.

The seller in the end does not know exactly how to tell me what "updating to REQUEST" consists of. Do you have an idea ?

The Quest and reQuest models are quite similar. I believe the panels are identical, and the changes were mostly in the crossovers and the bass driver. The Quest has a lower crossover (150Hz) than the reQuest (180), the higher point is preferable IMHO.

So any 'upgrade' would involve replacing the crossover and bass driver, and I'm doubtful anyone would bother with that. If you had that level of skill, you'd just modify the crossover to suit your tastes.

If the panel serial numbers correspond to Quest model, then that's what the speaker is, a Quest. The request was introduced in 1996

ML never sold an reQuest upgrade kit.... The speakers are Quests... The seller is saying what he can to make you buy them. Great speakers tho, but have a really good amp to drive them to get the best out of them.

Finally, I bought myself ML aerius i..
It works pretty well with my Mingda EL 34 amp
